An investigation opened by the Narbonne prosecutor's office has led to the indictment of two men suspected of kidnapping, aggravated rape, and human trafficking. The case, revealed by Midi LibreThe case notably involves a 13-year-old Filipina girl found imprisoned in Port-Leucate. The two suspects, now in pretrial detention, are also accused of obtaining guardianship of young girls of Asian origin through paternity claims deemed fraudulent.

The investigation was triggered by a report from Team Moore, a volunteer association specializing in tracking online predators. In June 2024, its members identified a man living in Port-Leucate after he sent sexual propositions and child pornography to one of their fake profiles impersonating a minor. This complaint, filed with prosecutor Jean-Philippe Rey, set in motion a series of investigations.

A network that extends all the way to Asia

Because the police had been monitoring a second suspect, aged 59, Guy C., in the same building for several months. The two cases then converged, outlining the contours of a possible organized network of child sexual exploitation, with ramifications as far as Southeast Asia.

The investigation, now underway, will have to establish the exact extent of the events and determine if other victims are involved. The use of fraudulent adoption procedures to circumvent legal protections is one of the central focuses of the investigation.
