Two men The two men, aged 22 and 29, were apprehended shortly afterward by the anti-crime squad. One of them attempted to escape the police by running through gardens and climbing walls, before abandoning a bag containing a revolver. Armed violence has become recurrent.
This incident comes just days after another shooting, in which the entrance of a building was riddled with bullets fired from a stolen scooter. No injuries were reported in that earlier incident.
The increasing number of these incidents illustrates a persistent tension linked to rivalries between drug traffickers.
