Nawat Itsaragrisil has made new revelations about Raúl Rocha, co-owner of the Miss Universe Organization. According to him, Rocha is currently in Europe and has not set foot in Mexico since leaving Thailand. The reason given is serious: Raúl Rocha simply cannot enter his own country: Raul is currently in Europe. Since leaving Thailand, he hasn't returned to Mexico because he can't enter the country.
This statement places Raúl Rocha in a particularly embarrassing, even untenable, situation. For a leader supposed to represent an international organization like Miss Universe, being portrayed as banned or prevented from entering Mexico raises serious questions about his credibility and his ability to fully carry out his role.
Raúl Rocha also banned from Puerto Rico
Nawat also claimed that Raúl Rocha would not be able to travel to Puerto Rico, the host country of Miss Universe 2026. According to her, the local authorities or organizers imposed several conditions, including a ban on Raúl Rocha's presence: "He also can't go to Puerto Rico; the host country has forbidden it, there are too many requirements."
This is a tough blow for Raúl Rocha, but not surprising. This situation further damages his already tarnished image as co-owner and decision-maker within the organization. The fact that the head of an organization is unable to travel to countries directly involved in the competition is becoming a problem for the structure he claims to lead.
Cornered, Raúl Rocha cannot tolerate online criticism and spies on his detractors.
Nawat also described Raul Rocha's highly paranoid behavior in response to criticism posted on social media. According to him, every time Raul Rocha is mentioned on TikTok, he contacts him directly via WhatsApp. "Every time someone mentions him on TikTok, he immediately sends me a WhatsApp message." Nawat claims that Raul Rocha then criticized him for not defending him sufficiently: "You don't love me now!"
An organization adrift
Nawat claims to have tried to help the Miss Universe Organization, but says her efforts were hampered by changing decisions and a lack of internal consistency: "I helped as much as I could, but after my help, they often change their minds. There's a lot of drama, it never ends." Faced with this situation, Nawat says he wants to take a step back. He states that he no longer wishes to intervene if his advice or help is subsequently called into question.
Raul Rocha, an image problem for Miss Universe
Nawat's statements put Raúl Rocha in a very delicate position. Already wanted by Mexican justice for his links to cartels, money laundering, drug and fuel trafficking, he now also appears as a leader banned from Mexico, barred from Puerto Rico, unable to cope with online criticism and associated with an unstable and losing credibility organization.
At this point, Raúl Rocha's future as head of Miss Universe looks increasingly bleak. Will he drag the competition down with him? It certainly seems that way at the moment…
