At the time, the prosecutor's office considered that the alleged offenses were insufficiently substantiated.
Five women reported inappropriate behavior during massages.
In the initial investigation, five women reported experiencing inappropriate behavior or gestures during massages given to Patrick Bruel at concerts. The alleged incidents, which occurred between 2008 and 2019, were classified as indecent exposure or sexual assault. Two other women, in the same case, reported rapes allegedly committed in 2000 and 2010, respectively. Two of the women involved in the investigation closed in 2020 are the ones filing the new complaint with a civil claim.
A second investigation has been reopened concerning events reported in 2015.
The Nanterre prosecutor's office has also decided to reopen a second investigation, which was closed without further action on November 15, 2022. This procedure followed a complaint filed in 2021 against Patrick Bruel for rape alleged to have occurred in 2015. The resumption of the investigations has been entrusted to the 1st district of the judicial police of the Paris police prefecture.
Three other investigations sent to Nanterre

These investigations stem from complaints filed by three women against Patrick Bruel for alleged rapes committed in 1997, 2000, and 2008. These investigations have also been entrusted to the 1st Judicial Police District of the Paris Police Prefecture. The previous day, the Paris prosecutor, Laure Beccuau, had indicated on RTL radio that the complaints against Patrick Bruel should be consolidated at the Nanterre prosecutor's office, which has jurisdiction due to the defendant's residence.
