France star Michael Olise accused of abandoning his daughter: his family denies any refusal to pay child support

Michael Olise finds himself at the center of a family and financial dispute brought to light by his former partner, Fatima Zaunbrecher. The 34-year-old German woman claims that the French international is the father of her 20-month-old daughter, whom he has never met. She also asserts that she has received no child support payments.

Those close to the Bayern Munich player strongly dispute this account. His family and friends assert that Michael Olise has never refused to pay child support, that financial assistance exceeding the maximum amount allowed under the German scale was offered from the child's birth, and that the mother allegedly sought up to €60,000 per month in French court.

A relationship that began in 2022

Fatima Zaunbrecher explains that she met Michael Olise in 2022, when the footballer was still playing for Crystal Palace in England. The two reportedly first exchanged messages on Instagram before beginning a long-distance relationship between Düsseldorf and London. "We got along well right away. From then on, I went to London regularly.""That's what she says," she recounts. Their relationship reportedly lasted nearly two years. Two weeks after their breakup, the young woman discovered she was pregnant. A paternity test was then carried out in Munich. According to the published account, the results confirmed that Michael Olise was indeed the father of the child. The player then reportedly acknowledged his paternity.

The mother claims he has never met the child.

Fatima Zaunbrecher maintains that Michael Olise has never personally met their daughter, now 20 months old. She asserts that all communication with the player is conducted exclusively through his lawyers and that he has not responded to the photographs sent after the birth."It breaks my heart to see how insensitive someone can be towards their own child. He doesn't even speak to me and just sends his lawyers."she says.

She also claims to have received a letter in which the player's lawyers advised that a meeting between their client and the child would be inappropriate. According to her, a lawyer also advised him to buy secondhand clothes to better manage his expenses. These claims have not been publicly confirmed by Michael Olise himself.

An initial offer of €836,50, then €2,000

The child's mother claims that she was initially offered €836,50 in monthly child support. This amount was then allegedly increased to €2,000. However, she maintains that she has not received any payments since the child's birth and asserts that the dispute has been ongoing for nearly two years. She says she provided her bank details to the player's lawyers through her former counsel, requesting that the €2,000 be paid provisionally pending a decision on the final amount.

Olise's relatives deny any refusal to pay

Michael Olise's entourage offers a very different version of events. His relatives claim that the player offered financial support to his former partner and their daughter from the outset. They maintain that he remains willing to reach an amicable agreement. According to them, the footballer has never refused to pay child support. They even claim that he offered, from the moment the child was born, an amount exceeding the highest bracket of the German child support system.

Those close to the player also claim that Fatima Zaunbrecher did not respond to the offer and that she did not provide her bank details despite several requests. This version of events is categorically denied by the young woman, who maintains that the necessary information was indeed sent by her lawyer.

A pension of €60,000 claimed in France

Michael Olise's entourage maintains that the child's mother attempted to obtain €60,000 per month in child support through the French courts. The request was reportedly unsuccessful. Fatima Zaunbrecher does not deny the existence of this legal action. She explains that the amount was determined by her former lawyer based on the Bayern Munich player's presumed income. Her new legal counsel now seeks precise information regarding his income and assets in order to assess the child's needs and determine the amount of any potential child support.

Two completely opposing versions

Fatima Zaunbrecher claims that Michael Olise does not see his daughter and that no child support payments have been made to her. Those close to the player respond that he has never refused to contribute financially, that an offer exceeding the German minimum wage was made, and that the lack of payment stems from a persistent disagreement over the amount and terms.

Michael Olise has not personally commented on this matter. No final court decision has yet publicly determined the amount of child support or the conditions under which the player could see the child. At this stage, the mother's accusations and the response from the footballer's entourage remain two contradictory accounts in an ongoing legal dispute.
