The investigation into Adriana Karembeu for neglect of parental duties has been closed by the Paris prosecutor's office. The proceedings had been opened following a report filed in March by her husband, Aram-André Ohanian, in the context of their divorce. The case was closed on June 23, citing a "lack of sufficient evidence."
The courts have ended the proceedings against Adriana Karembeu.
Adriana Karembeu is no longer the subject of the investigation opened for parental neglect. The case has been closed without charges on this aspect, due to a lack of evidence to substantiate the accusations against her. Her lawyers, Nathalie Tomasini and Maeva Zampori, indicate that no evidence was found to establish the alleged facts.
A report filed in the middle of divorce proceedings
The complaint was filed in March by Aram-André Ohanian, a businessman and husband of Adriana Karembeu, from whom she is currently separated and in the process of divorcing. It concerned their minor daughter and alleged, in particular, the child's exposure to content deemed inappropriate. However, the investigation opened by the Paris prosecutor's office focused solely on the alleged failure to fulfill parental obligations.
The case was built around particularly serious accusations. Aram-André Ohanian had called into question the environment in which their daughter was exposed when she was with her mother. He specifically mentioned sexually explicit content found on digital devices used by the child. These accusations did not lead to charges against Adriana Karembeu in the now-closed investigation.
A family conflict that turned into a legal battle
The couple, separated for several years, are arguing over the living conditions and protection of their daughter. Adriana Karembeu has already presented evidence to establish that she has been more involved in the child's care than her husband. Her lawyers also point out that false accusations and public defamation can lead to criminal penalties.
Adriana Karembeu counter-attacks
For her part, Adriana Karembeu has initiated several legal proceedings against Aram-André Ohanian in France, Monaco, and Morocco. She accuses him of violence, threats, theft of personal data, and also of actions related to the alleged exposure of their daughter to inappropriate content. Aram-André Ohanian denies these accusations.
