The new national theme for general knowledge and expression in the BTS exam for the 2027 session will be entitled "True or False." This information was relayed by several platforms specializing in higher education, following its publication in official documents intended for students and teachers.

This topic will replace the 2026 theme entitled "Animals and Us: Imagining, Knowing, and Understanding Animals." The new program will invite students to reflect on the concepts of truth, manipulation, disinformation, belief, and artificial intelligence, in a context marked by the proliferation of fake news and AI-generated content.

The written exams for the 2026 BTS will take place from May 18th to 21st.

The Ministry of Higher Education has also officially announced the schedule for the 2026 BTS common exams. For business-related programs, the exam will begin on Monday, May 18th with the economic, legal, and managerial culture exam. The general knowledge and expression exam, common to most business and industrial BTS programs, will take place on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, from 14:30 pm to 17:30 pm in mainland France.

Students in industrial BTS programs will take their mathematics exam on Monday, May 18, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by the general knowledge exam the next day. The written professional exams will then take place on May 20 and 21, depending on the specialization and the participating regional education authority. BTS results are generally published between the end of June and the beginning of July.
