Home invasion at Michaël Youn's house: "The children are fine." The comedian breaks his silence.

Michaël Youn and his partner Isabelle Funaro were victims of a home invasion at their residence in Éguilles, near Aix-en-Provence, on Monday morning around 8:30 a.m. Two masked men reportedly entered the house while the couple's two children, aged 14 and 7, were present. One of the perpetrators allegedly threatened the couple's daughter with a long gun. Michaël Youn was then reportedly forced to open his safe. The perpetrators left with cash, jewelry, and watches before fleeing on a motorcycle.

Michaël Youn: "Everything is fine. Thank you."

In the aftermath of the home invasion, Michaël Youn posted a message to reassure the public, correct several pieces of information, and denounce certain details disseminated by the media. The actor confirmed the armed threat but indicated that there was no physical violence and that the amount stolen was less than initially reported.

Here is the full text of his message:

"Everything is fine. Thank you."

Seeing children and chocolate madeleines coexisting in a kitchen with hooded men and German shepherds celebrating with them, might almost have made me laugh in other circumstances.

It could have ended so badly that I'm honestly relieved today. I'm almost tempted to suggest we come back and play Uno together as a family. No, actually.

However, not everything that's been reported is accurate; the circumstances are already traumatic enough without exaggerating them: there was no physical violence, only an armed threat (a rifle is already quite something), and the amount stolen was much lower (thank God). They really weren't the worst.

Finally, to report on the event, some media outlets may not be obliged to give my exact address, film my gate, or zoom in on Google Earth right into the garden…
I put it there.

The children are doing well.

Thank you for all your support and love.

Life's little and big adventures.

Kisses.
