Just a few weeks before its theatrical release, Ducobu and the Ghost of Saint-Potache va s’offrir une avant-première exceptionnelle en Belgique.
This presentation will precede the French release of the film, set for October 7, 2026, by less than two weeks. The return of Ducobu had already been announced during the presentation of the poster for Ducobu and the Ghost of Saint-Potache , with a decidedly Halloween-oriented atmosphere.
Elie Semoun and Gérard Jugnot reunited in Brussels
Élie Semoun will undoubtedly be one of the main attractions of this preview. The comedian is reuniting with Professor Gustave Latouche and is also directing this new episode.
Alongside him, Gérard Jugnot is among the personalities announced for the Brussels screening. Loïc Legendre will also be present, as will Charlie Garnier and Adam Nsita Oliver. Viewers will have the opportunity to meet the team and ask them questions at this screening.
This evening at the Grand Eldorado will kick off a Belgian weekend dedicated to Ducobu and the Ghost of Saint-Potache . Further previews are scheduled for the following day, Saturday, September 26, in Liège, Charleroi, and Mons.
A Ducobu adventure themed around Halloween
In this new episode, Élie Semoun takes Saint-Potache into a much more fantastical world. Professor Latouche and Miss Rateau move into a house that turns out to be haunted by Anatole, presented as the biggest dunce in the history of Saint-Potache school.
The ghost will lead Ducobu, Léonie, their parents, and Kitrish on a series of adventures. Haunted houses, skeletons, pumpkins, and a Halloween atmosphere accompany this new adventure, without abandoning the humor that characterizes the franchise.
A new generation with the very promising Gustavia Harfouch
Ducobu and the Ghost of Saint-Potache also allows Élie Semoun to showcase a new generation of young actors.
Charlie Garnier plays Ducobu, Antoinette portrays Léonie, and Yasmine plays Carine. The very promising Gustavia Harfouch is also among the young talents in this new installment, alongside Circé and Joé.
Already noticed among the young revelations of the cast, Gustavia Harfouch had been highlighted during the presentation of the new faces of Ducobu and the ghost of Saint-Potache .
His presence accompanies the renewal desired for this new episode, as Elie Semoun has announced that this will be his last Ducobu film as a director.
A saga that has surpassed 6 million admissions
The character of Ducobu arrived on the big screen in 2011 with *L'Élève Ducobu* (Ducobu the Student) . The franchise has since become a staple of French family comedy. After the first two films, Élie Semoun took over the reins of the saga with * Ducobu 3* in 2020, followed by *Ducobu Président!* in 2022 and *Ducobu passe au vert!* in 2024.
The first five feature films have garnered over 6 million admissions in France . The character's popularity remains undiminished on television: this summer, Ducobu 3 propelled TF1 to the top of the ratings, just weeks before the release of the new film. The television success of Ducobu and its upcoming return to the big screen already confirmed the anticipation surrounding the film.
See you at the cinema on October 7th
After the Brussels premiere on September 25 and the screenings organized the following day in Belgium , Ducobu and the Ghost of Saint-Potache will arrive in French cinemas on October 7, 2026.
Élie Semoun returns to direct the saga one last time, surrounded by Émilie Caen, Frédérique Bel, Loïc Legendre, and Gérard Jugnot, as well as a new generation led by Charlie Garnier and the very promising Gustavia Harfouch . For Ducobu, this back-to-school season of 2026 will bring ghosts, a haunted house, and, of course, his continued lack of enthusiasm for homework.
