PSG: Luis Enrique extends his contract until 2030, 5 players also sign extensions in a surprise announcement

Paris Saint-Germain secures a large part of its future. The capital club officially announced on the evening of Friday, September 4, the extension of Luis Enrique as well as those of five players: João Neves, Willian Pacho, Senny Mayulu, Lucas Beraldo, and Fabián Ruiz.

The Spanish coach is now tied to PSG until 2030. João Neves, Willian Pacho, Senny Mayulu, and Lucas Beraldo all extend until 2031, while Fabián Ruiz signs until 2028, with an additional year option. A strong announcement for a club that just won its second consecutive Champions League after beating Arsenal on penalties.

Paris thus secures its coach and several key or young players around whom Luis Enrique is building his team. Three months after presenting its second Champions League at Parc des Princes, the club clearly chooses continuity and keeps the core that allowed it to dominate French and European football over the last two seasons.

Luis Enrique tied to PSG until 2030 after 13 trophies

Arriving at Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 after notably managing FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team, Luis Enrique extends his contract until 2030. At 56 years old, the coach has established himself as the architect of the Parisian project and has become the most decorated coach in the club’s history with 13 trophies.

Under his leadership, PSG won two consecutive Champions Leagues, two consecutive UEFA Super Cups, an Intercontinental Cup, three French championships, two French Cups, and three Trophée des Champions. In 2024-2025, Paris also achieved a historic sextuple before reaching the final of the first FIFA Club World Cup held in the United States.

The following season, PSG accomplished the feat of retaining its European title. After notably eliminating Liverpool in the quarter-finals and then knocking out Bayern Munich to reach the final, Paris dominated Arsenal on penalties in Budapest.

This extension until 2030 confirms that Luis Enrique remains the man chosen by the Parisian management to lead the sporting project in the long term.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi: « They represent both the present and the future of our Club’s project »

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi accompanied the announcement of these six extensions with a particularly strong message directed at his coach and the five players concerned: « We are delighted that Luis Enrique, Senny Mayulu, João Neves, Willian Pacho, Lucas Beraldo, and Fabián Ruiz continue their journey with Paris Saint-Germain. They represent both the present and the future of our Club’s project. Together, we want to build for the long term, stay true to our values, and continue to write a collective story that our supporters can be proud of. »

A statement that extends the discourse held by the Parisian president after the second consecutive European title. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi had then stated that this new Champions League title was « the writing of a legend ».

Lucas Beraldo continues his Parisian journey until 2031

Lucas Beraldo, 22 years old, is now tied to PSG until 2031. Arriving from São Paulo on January 1, 2024, the Brazilian defender played his first match in the Paris jersey a few weeks later, on January 28 against Brest.

Since his arrival, Beraldo has participated in 91 matches with Paris and notably won three French championships. His positioning quality, defensive aggressiveness, and ability to cleanly distribute the ball have allowed him to take an important place in the Paris rotation.

The Brazilian also played a decisive role in PSG’s second consecutive European title. On May 30 in Budapest, he scored Paris’s fifth and final penalty against Arsenal, definitively securing the victory after the 1-1 draw.

Brazilian international since March 2024, Lucas Beraldo has five caps with the Seleção. At only 22 years old, PSG now offers him particularly long visibility with a contract until 2031.

Senny Mayulu, the Parisian Titi secured until 2031

PSG also secures Senny Mayulu. Trained at the club, which he joined at age 12, the 20-year-old midfielder has progressively climbed all the ranks before debuting with the first team in January 2024.

Mayulu already totals 75 matches in all competitions and 12 goals. A mobile, technical player capable of projecting himself into the opponent’s box, he has gained increasing importance under Luis Enrique’s orders.

His name is notably associated with PSG’s first Champions League win. During the 2025 final against Inter Milan, the young Parisian scored the fifth goal of the 5-0 victory, at only 19 years old.

A French international in youth categories, with 22 caps for the Bleuets, he also received his first call-up with the U21s in November 2025. PSG now renews its confidence in him with a contract running until 2031.

João Neves, key piece of the Parisian midfield until 2031

João Neves also extends until 2031. Arriving in Paris during summer 2024 from Benfica, the 21-year-old Portuguese quickly established himself as one of the essential players in Luis Enrique’s system.

His activity, ability to recover balls, repeat efforts, and participate in game construction quickly made him a key piece of the Parisian midfield.

In only two seasons, João Neves already has 99 matches with PSG, with 14 goals and 14 assists. He participated in the last two Champions League titles won by Paris, two French championships, and a French Cup.

His partnership with Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz has become one of PSG’s great strengths. During the final against Arsenal, Luis Enrique again chose to pair João Neves, Vitinha, and Fabián Ruiz in midfield.

His performances also earned him a place in the Ligue 1 Team of the Year 2024-2025 and 19th place in the 2025 Ballon d’Or. With Portugal, João Neves won the 2025 Nations League before participating in the 2026 World Cup.

Willian Pacho also extends until 2031

The same contract length for Willian Pacho. Arriving from Eintracht Frankfurt during summer 2024, the 24-year-old Ecuadorian defender quickly became a regular starter under Luis Enrique.

His power, game reading, and solidity in duels allowed him to immediately adapt to Parisian demands. In only two seasons, Pacho already has 105 matches with PSG.

He participated in the two consecutive Champions League titles won by Paris, the last two French championships, and a French Cup. His performances also earned him a place in the Ligue 1 Team of the Year 2024-2025 and the FIFA The Best 2025 XI.

An Ecuadorian international since 2022, Willian Pacho has 38 caps and participated in the 2022 and 2026 World Cups. He is now also secured until 2031.

Fabián Ruiz extends until 2028 with an additional year option

Fabián Ruiz is the only one of the five players not to have extended until 2031. The 30-year-old Spanish international is now tied to PSG until 2028, with an additional year option.

Arriving in Paris on August 30, 2022 from Napoli, the Spanish midfielder gradually established himself as an essential element of Luis Enrique’s setup. His technical quality, vision of the game, ability to keep the ball under pressure, and project towards the opponent’s box made him a regular starter.

Fabián Ruiz now has 171 matches with PSG, with 16 goals and 28 assists. He participated in the historic sextuple of 2024-2025 before playing an important role in the second consecutive Champions League title the following season.

With Spain, he won Euro 2024 and the 2023 Nations League before participating in Spain’s triumph at the 2026 World Cup. He also finished 24th in the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

PSG locks down the heart of its project for several years

In a single announcement, Paris Saint-Germain secures its coach and five players who already hold an important place in its project. Luis Enrique is under contract until 2030, while João Neves, Willian Pacho, Senny Mayulu, and Lucas Beraldo are committed until 2031. Fabián Ruiz is tied to the club until 2028, with an additional season option.

The timing is no coincidence. Paris is coming out of the most successful period in its history, with two consecutive Champions Leagues, a 14th French championship won in spring and, this summer, a second consecutive UEFA Super Cup won against Aston Villa.

Rather than disrupting a winning team, PSG chooses stability. The coach who transformed the club remains in place, and several players expected to form its core for the coming seasons are now secured long-term.
