Stellantis has launched a new recall campaign affecting approximately 955,000 vehicles worldwide. The manufacturer has identified a software malfunction in the radio that could prevent the rearview camera image from displaying on the multimedia screen. No accidents or injuries related to this issue have been reported so far.
The campaign primarily concerns the United States, where nearly 848,000 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles are being recalled. Approximately 83,000 units are also affected in Canada, nearly 8,000 in Mexico, and 15,000 in other markets. France does not appear to be targeted, as no corresponding recall procedure has been published on the national consumer recall platform.
A software update is planned.
The affected vehicles include the 2026 and 2027 Chrysler Pacifica, Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid, and Voyager, as well as the Dodge Charger produced during the same period. Several 2026 Jeep models are also included, notably the Cherokee, Compass, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, Grand Wagoneer, and Wrangler. Finally, the list includes certain Ram 1500, 2500, ProMaster, and ProMaster Electric models.
Owners will receive a software update for their multimedia system when it becomes available. A notification should appear directly on the vehicle's screen to allow for its installation. Until the fix is released, Stellantis recommends that drivers check the camera display and always use the interior and exterior mirrors when reversing.
