Presidential election 2027: Natacha Polony launches her movement and "doesn't rule anything out" for the Élysée Palace

Natacha Polony has reached a new milestone. In a lengthy interview with Le Parisien , the essayist and director of the magazine L'Audace! announced the creation of a movement for "political orphans" and confirmed her intention to play a full role in the presidential debate. When asked about a possible candidacy for the Élysée Palace, she asserted: "I'm not ruling anything out."

After months of rumors surrounding her ambitions, Natacha Polony explains that she wants to "disrupt the political game" and offer an alternative to French citizens who no longer see themselves reflected in the current options. She specifically rejects the idea of a "sacrificial vote" solely intended to prevent a runoff between Marine Le Pen and Jean-Luc Mélenchon. While not yet formally announcing her candidacy, she affirms that she has decided to "play [her] part in this major presidential debate."

Between Séguin and Chevènement

Natacha Polony refuses to define herself simply as a right-wing or left-wing figure. Instead, she claims a lineage blending the "social Gaullism of Philippe Séguin" and the "republican left of Jean-Pierre Chevènement." Her economic priority would be to "declare a state of emergency for production," with the goal of restoring France's industrial, energy, and food sovereignty.

The essayist also wants to address wages, particularly through a reduction in employee and employer social security contributions, which she believes would allow companies to better compensate their employees. She also hopes to open a debate on the amount of work in France, without yet taking a clear stance on questioning the 35-hour workweek.

With eight months to go before the presidential election, Natacha Polony is not yet ready to add her name to an already long list of candidates. However, her entry into politics is now a given, and her entourage no longer hides the fact that this is a first step towards 2027.
