Nearly six months after the tragic death of influencer Jean Pormanove, the Paris prosecutor's office announced the opening of an investigation judicial investigation targeting the Kick streaming platform and its leaders. This measure follows the death of Jean Pormanove, which occurred in August 2025 and was broadcast live on the platform.

The magistrates also requested arrest warrants against Kick executivesAs part of this procedure, the aim is to shed full light on the circumstances under which this dramatic livestream was broadcast and how the platform handled this critical situation. The objective of the judicial investigation is to identify any potential criminal offenses related to the dissemination of content that endangers the lives of others.

Partners of the influencer in police custody

As part of a separate but related investigation, the Nice prosecutor's office has placed in custody this Tuesday the streamers known by the pseudonyms Naruto and SafinePartners of Jean Pormanove. These individuals had participated in broadcasts where the influencer appeared for several days in videos depicting him in situations of violence and humiliation. The detention follows an investigation opened in December 2024 and aims to determine the exact involvement of these individuals in the disseminated content.

The magistrate in charge of the investigation specified that these measures were the continuation of a preliminary investigation already underwayand that they are part of a broader procedure intended to examine individual and collective responsibilities surrounding the influencer's death.
