Laurent Voulzy reveals he has been battling cancer for 10 years

Laurent Voulzy has just revealed that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer “just before Christmas” 2016. The singer wanted to make this information public on the occasion of the release of his autobiography. Hidden behindin which he revisits several personal episodes from his life.

A diagnosis announced before the holidays

Laurent Voulzy explains that his doctor had left him a message on his phone which he considered “hardly encouraging”He specifies that the announcement was made to him a few days before Christmas 2016. The singer states that he chose not to tell his family and friends at the time of the diagnosis. He explains that he waited until after the holidays before contacting the doctor again, without telling anyone. Laurent Voulzy was then “Taken into care in time in England”.

Laurent Voulzy explains that he wanted to talk about his illness to convey a simple message: he says he wanted to show “that one can also get through it”.
