Twenty years after its launch, "Recherche Appartement ou Maison" (Looking for an Apartment or House) returns to M6. The real estate show will premiere on Thursday, September 3rd at 21:10 pm, with a revamped format and a team of four professionals: Thibault Chanel, Sandra Viricel, Étienne Claude, and Camille Duquennoy. Two familiar faces from the program will be joined by two new experts. Launched in 2006 by Stéphane Plaza, the show retains its core principle: supporting individuals facing a complex property search, with sometimes very specific criteria, tight deadlines, and challenging local markets. For this new season, M6 also aims to give more airtime to the current issues faced by buyers, sellers, and prospective homeowners.
Thibault Chanel and Sandra Viricel remain in charge
Thibault Chanel , a long-standing figure on the show " Recherche Appartement ou Maison" (Apartment or House Search ), continues his adventure. A professional property hunter for nearly twenty years, he works primarily in the Parisian market. He joined the program in 2006 and is now one of the show's most recognizable personalities.
Sandra Viricel has also been reappointed. Based in Lyon, this real estate professional has over twenty years of experience. A long-time contributor to the show " Recherche Appartement ou Maison" (Looking for an Apartment or House) , she assists buyers and sellers, drawing on her extensive knowledge of the Lyon market and the surrounding region.
Étienne Claude and Camille Duquennoy are joining the show
The main innovation of this new format is the arrival of two new real estate agents. Étienne Claude , an entrepreneur from Lyon, has worked in real estate for over ten years. Passionate about architecture and renovation, he also specializes in maximizing the appeal of properties before they are put on the market. He notably completed home staging training in Miami and has developed an approach focused on the presentation, layout, and potential of homes.
Camille Duquennoy , 33, is from Croix, near Lille. After studying communications and then theater, she bought her first apartment at 23. Listing it on Airbnb introduced her to the world of real estate, which she then turned into her career. She now works in the North of France and also uses social media to showcase her business and share behind-the-scenes glimpses into her work.
First challenge in Paris: Marie-Jo is only three months old
For its first episode, "Looking for an Apartment or House" will follow three projects in Paris, the Hérault region, and Annecy. In Paris, Thibault Chanel will accompany Marie-Jo, 68, an artist and former stylist of over thirty years. After selling her large apartment in the heart of Pigalle, she wants to downsize her future primary residence while remaining in the capital. She is also considering, at a later stage, buying a pied-à-terre in the South of France. But the search is particularly tight: Marie-Jo must vacate her current apartment within a maximum of three months . She also wants a unique property, is willing to undertake renovations, but is focusing her search on a very specific area: the 2nd arrondissement of Paris.
In the Hérault region, three generations want to live in the same place.
Sandra Viricel will have to solve a much more complex family project. Élodie, 43, wants to leave the Paris region to be closer to her twin sister Christelle, who lives near Montpellier. She plans to move with her husband and children. Other family members also want to help with the move. The goal is ambitious: to find three homes in the same area so that three generations can stay close while maintaining their independence. Sandra Viricel will have to juggle several simultaneous constraints: everyone's budgets, properties still available in the Paris region, and a particularly competitive real estate market around Montpellier.
In Annecy, a birth makes the search urgent.
Third case: Stefan, 33, and Olivia, 32, live in Annecy. The couple is expecting their first child and wants to buy their first apartment. Their requirements are significant: space, comfort, and above all, a property located near Lake Annecy, where the available options remain limited. After three years of searching, numerous viewings, and several unsuccessful offers, the couple still hasn't found anything. With the birth approaching, time is of the essence. Étienne Claude will have one month to try to find them a property that meets their criteria.
M6 is relaunching one of its flagship real estate programs
For its 20th anniversary, " Recherche Appartement ou Maison" (Apartment or House Search ) returns with an expanded team and cases built around very different situations: life changes, moving closer to family, first-time buyers, or urgent searches. Thibault Chanel, Sandra Viricel, Étienne Claude, and Camille Duquennoy will host this new season, the first episode of which will air Thursday, September 3rd at 21:10 pm on M6.
