French music is rallying to support the victims of the wildfires that ravaged France this summer. On Thursday, August 27th at 21:10 pm, M6 and RTL will broadcast live " Solidarity Fires: The Big Concert ," an exceptional evening organized from the Arkéa Arena in Floirac, near Bordeaux. Gims, Pascal Obispo, Zazie, Renaud, -M-, Julien Clerc, Bénabar, and Gaëtan Roussel are among the many artists announced. Hosted by Julien Courbet, alongside Élodie Gossuin and Éric Jean-Jean, the concert aims to raise funds to help those affected and their families. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Fondation de France.

Julien Courbet at the helm of an exceptional evening

The mobilization will take on a national dimension on Thursday evening. Starting at 21:10 pm, M6 will broadcast the concert live, while RTL will broadcast it simultaneously on the radio. The event will also be available on M6+. Julien Courbet will host alongside Élodie Gossuin and Éric Jean-Jean. The choice of Bordeaux is not insignificant: the Gironde region is among those hardest hit by this summer's wildfires. The event was organized quickly with the mobilization of artists, media personalities, entertainment professionals, local stakeholders, firefighters, and volunteers.

Gims, Renaud, Zazie, Pascal Obispo: an impressive lineup

Numerous figures from the French music scene have agreed to participate. Gims, Pascal Obispo, Zazie, Helena, -M-, and Renaud will be among those performing at the Arkéa Arena. Julien Clerc, Jeanne Mas, Bénabar, Natasha St-Pier, Cali, David & Jonathan, Ycare, Superbus, Axel Bauer, Gauvain Sers, Noé Preszow, and Gaëtan Roussel complete the lineup announced for this evening. A particularly diverse program, bringing together several generations of artists around a common cause.

More than 10,000 spectators expected in Bordeaux

Public response was also immediate. The 10,000 tickets initially offered for the concert sold out in just a few hours after ticket sales opened on August 6. Half the seats were snapped up in about twenty minutes, and three-quarters were already reserved by noon. An additional hundred tickets were then made available, bringing the announced capacity to approximately 10,100 spectators. The concert will therefore take place in front of a packed Arkéa Arena, while a much wider audience will be able to follow the event live on television, radio, and streaming platforms.

The profits donated to the Fondation de France

Beyond the musical performances, the evening's goal is to raise money for those affected by the fires. All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Fondation de France. A fundraising appeal will also be launched during the evening. The funds raised will be used to support victims and disaster-stricken areas, particularly to meet basic needs and contribute to reconstruction. The Fondation de France launched an appeal for generosity on July 27th in response to the consequences of the fires and heatwaves. Its support program includes assistance for the most vulnerable populations, support for professionals working on the ground, and assistance for affected areas.

A concert organized after a devastating summer

The initiative was born in the wake of the devastating wildfires that ravaged several French regions during the summer of 2026. Gironde, Landes, and Var were among the areas affected. Beyond the land destroyed, the fires left behind families who lost their homes or part of their belongings, as well as local businesses, tradespeople, and other stakeholders whose livelihoods were directly impacted. It is to support them that the artists gathered in Bordeaux will take to the stage on Thursday evening. The "Solidarity Fires" concert will be broadcast live on Thursday, August 27th, starting at 21:10 PM on M6, M6+, and RTL.
