A fire broke out in the Meudon forest on Saturday evening, July 25th. The blaze started near Avenue de Trivaux and quickly consumed 2,000 square meters of low-lying vegetation. A plume of smoke, visible from afar, alerted local residents and triggered an emergency response from firefighters.
Sixty firefighters mobilized
Approximately 60 firefighters were deployed to contain the flames in this forested area on the outskirts of Paris. The firefighters battled the blaze for several hours before bringing it under control around midnight. The fire is now contained, and the area has been secured to prevent any flare-ups.
This incident comes at a time when forests in the Île-de-France region remain vulnerable to wildfires, particularly during the summer months. The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined. No injuries have been reported.
