Former Formula 1 world champion Alain Prost was reportedly the victim of a violent burglary last Tuesday at his property in Nyon, according to several Swiss media outlets. The incident is said to have occurred early in the morning while the former driver and his family were at home.

According to initial reports relayed by the Swiss media outlet Blick, several hooded individuals entered the residence around 8:30 a.m. Alain Prost was reportedly injured in the head during the attack and is also suffering from significant psychological trauma following this violent intrusion.

The perpetrators are still being sought.

Under duress, one of the former driver's sons was allegedly forced to open the house safe. The exact amount of the loss has not been disclosed, but Alain Prost owns a significant collection of luxury watches and maintains a long-standing partnership with the Richard Mille brand.

The perpetrators then reportedly fled towards France. Despite a large-scale operation involving the Vaud police, canine units, and cooperation with French authorities, no suspects had yet been apprehended as of Saturday.
