Presidential election 2027: Natacha Polony wants to "disrupt the insular world" and officially enters the political fray

Natacha Polony is now embracing her entry into politics. Invited this Monday morning on RTL, the journalist and essayist explained that she was "fed up with commenting on the disaster" and wanted to have a direct impact on the 2027 presidential election, without however formally announcing her candidacy for the Élysée Palace.

“We need to disrupt this self-serving bubble, these people who are just having tea on the deck of the Titanic,” she declared, denouncing a political system she considers entrenched. Natacha Polony intends to bring together the “political orphans,” meaning voters who no longer identify with the parties and candidates currently in the running.

Avoiding a "sacrificial vote"

The former editor of Marianne magazine wants to offer an alternative to what she describes as a "sacrificial vote," intended solely to avoid a runoff between Marine Le Pen and Jean-Luc Mélenchon. While not yet officially declaring her candidacy, she now insists she is not ruling anything out and claims a desire to "shake things up" in the campaign.

Fundamentally, Natacha Polony advocates a policy combining national sovereignty, reindustrialization, the defense of public services, and economic independence. She claims a connection between the social Gaullism of Philippe Séguin and the republican left of Jean-Pierre Chevènement, in whose Citizens' Movement she had briefly been active in her youth.

After numerous trips and meetings in recent months, the 51-year-old journalist now wants to transform her ideas into a political movement. This new step confirms that Natacha Polony no longer simply wants to comment on the 2027 presidential election, but now intends to try to become one of its key players.
