Reform UK wants to imprison employers who employ undocumented workers in the United Kingdom

Nigel Farage's party has introduced a series of radical measures against illegal work in the UK, including prison sentences of up to five years for company directors, even if they were unaware of the immigration status of their employees.

Zia Yusuf, a rising star in Reform UK, outlined on Wednesday a crackdown on employers of undocumented workers. A Reform government would send CEOs and company directors involved to prison for up to five years, even when they claim they were unaware of their employees' irregular status.

To finance legal proceedings, the party plans to create a central prosecution fund for local authorities, enabling them to take action against offending companies without bearing the entire cost. Yusuf justified this approach by accusing large corporations of "enriching themselves by recruiting illegal workers at the expense of young Britons."

Reform also intends to introduce a national licensing system for e-cigarette shops. According to Yusuf, this measure would lead to a 70% reduction in the number of these shops in British city centers. The party also announced its intention to eliminate what it calls "financial disincentives," without specifying the nature of these measures.
