Upon arrival, police and paramedics discovered several people with stab wounds. A large police presence was deployed to the area. Part of the street was cordoned off to allow for the treatment of victims and the initial investigation. A helicopter medical team was also mobilized, with a helicopter landing near Trafalgar Square.
