Check out the trailer for the Harry Potter series, available this Christmas on HBO Max

To mark the launch of HBO Max in the UK and Ireland, HBO Max unveiled the official teaser for the first season of its upcoming original series. Harry PotterThis first batch will consist of eight episodes and will be titled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

The series will launch at Christmas 2026 on HBO and will be offered exclusively on HBO Max in territories where the platform is available, including Germany, Italy, the UK and Ireland, where the service has just been deployed.

Everything starts again from the beginning

The series picks up where the film series began: Harry Potter seems, on the surface, quite ordinary—or so his Aunt Petunia constantly tells him. But on his eleventh birthday, an acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry turns his life upside down, revealing a hidden world filled with magic, friendship, and adventure. Yet, this new life also brings threats, as Harry finds himself facing a formidable enemy connected to his past.

The series will reunite Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, and John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore.
