La Poste's new CEO, Marie-Ange Debon, aims to further strengthen the group's international presence amidst a profound transformation of its operations. Already boasting a significant international presence, the group generates nearly 45% of its revenue outside France, a factor considered strategic for its future growth.
Having taken the helm of the company at the end of 2025, the CEO intends to leverage her international experience to further develop the group's most profitable activities. She has notably indicated her intention to review the portfolio of activities abroad, where profitability is proportionally higher than in the domestic market.
Logistics and parcels on the front line
This strategy is a continuation of the transformation undertaken in recent years, marked by the structural decline of mail and the rise of parcels, logistics, and financial services. La Poste has gradually established itself as a major European player in these sectors, while diversifying its revenue streams.
International strategy thus emerges as a central focus for compensating for the weaknesses of the historical model and supporting the group's competitiveness in the face of competition and changing consumer habits. The new management will, however, have to reconcile this ambition with the constraints of public service and the financial challenges facing the company.
