British airline EasyJet has accepted a £5,7 billion takeover bid from US investment fund Apollo, following the withdrawal of its rival Castlelake, another American bidder. Apollo has won the bid. The American fund offered £7,15 per EasyJet share, exceeding Castlelake's final offer of £6,90.
