Weather: Rain, clouds and cool temperatures prolong the autumnal atmosphere this Monday

The return of fine weather will have to wait a little longer. This Monday, France remains under the influence of unsettled weather, with damp and cool conditions across much of the country. A weather system is bringing more rain to the east, while a new band of unsettled weather will arrive from Brittany throughout the day before reaching the Channel coast in the evening. Elsewhere, cloud cover will prevail with a few showers, although the south will remain drier and sunnier.

The clearest spells of sunshine will be mainly in Aquitaine, along the Mediterranean coast, and in parts of the southwest, despite occasional hazy skies. Across the rest of the country, it will feel very autumnal with often gray skies and little sunshine.

Temperatures remain below seasonal norms due to cloud cover and cold air aloft. Minimum temperatures will range from 6 to 11°C at sunrise, while maximum temperatures will reach between 13 and 16°C in most regions, and up to 20°C near the Mediterranean.
