Tuesday: after the morning frost, the return of sunshine and mild weather

Tuesday began with a chilly start, with significant morning frosts from the north to the center of the country. At daybreak, temperatures dropped locally to between -2 and 0°C from the Hauts-de-France region to the Massif Central, under clear skies conducive to overnight cooling. But this cold spell didn't last, quickly giving way to improved conditions.

As the day progresses, the sun will dominate across a large part of the country, particularly from Nord-Pas-de-Calais to the southwest, including Île-de-France and the southeast. Only a few light showers will persist in Brittany and on the Cotentin peninsula, while Corsica will remain exposed to occasional thunderstorms.

The wind remains strong near the Mediterranean with powerful mistral and tramontane winds, reaching gusts of 100 to 110 km/h in Roussillon and 90 km/h in the Rhône Valley. Under this bright sky, temperatures are rising sharply, reaching up to 21°C between Marseille and Montpellier, 18°C in Paris, and 14 to 15°C in Brittany under the cloud cover.
