The weather remains unsettled across much of eastern France at the start of this week. A weather system is lingering between the Mediterranean coast, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, and Grand Est regions, extending as far as Hauts-de-France, bringing damp and significantly cooler conditions. Rain, sometimes thundery, is expected, particularly in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA) region and Corsica, while snow is returning to the mountains.
In the west, the situation is calmer thanks to the approach of the Azores High. The risk of showers is more limited there, with generally drier conditions despite some passing clouds.
However, an improvement is quickly on the horizon. From Tuesday, sunny spells will become more frequent, before a return to a more spring-like atmosphere from Wednesday, although some clouds will still persist in the west of the country.
