The day promises to be a day of contrasts, with unsettled weather along the Atlantic coast and mostly sunny skies in the east. Despite this contrast, temperatures will remain generally above seasonal averages, confirming the already decidedly spring-like atmosphere across much of the country.
The night will remain cool, especially in the central and eastern regions, with possible local frosts at dawn. Temperatures could drop as low as -2°C in some areas, particularly between the Massif Central and the Grand Est, before rising rapidly in the early morning thanks to the sun.
In the west, clouds will dominate, with rain expected from Brittany to Poitou-Charentes, including Normandy and the Pays de la Loire. Conversely, the eastern and southern regions will enjoy bright, dry weather, with plenty of sunshine from the Grand Est region to the Mediterranean coast. A few isolated thunderstorms could develop in Corsica during the afternoon.
