Seine-Saint-Denis: Young man killed in Bondy, narcicide suspected

A 24-year-old man was found dead Sunday morning on a street in Bondy, Seine-Saint-Denis. The victim, born in 2002, is believed to have been stabbed to death sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning. His body was discovered by a local resident between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m., before emergency services and police arrived at the scene.

According to a police source, the homicide occurred at a known drug dealing location. This location leads authorities to focus on the theory of a murder linked to drug trafficking. The Bobigny prosecutor's office is thus referring to a "very probable narcicide," even though the exact motive still needs to be confirmed by the investigation.

The criminal investigation unit in charge of the case

No suspects were apprehended in the initial hours following the discovery of the body. Investigators must now reconstruct the sequence of events of the attack, determine the precise time of death, and identify individuals who were in the area that night. The victim's profile and any potential connections to the drug dealing location will also be examined.

The investigation has been entrusted to the criminal investigation unit of the Paris judicial police, which specializes in the most serious homicides. The police will be able to rely on witness statements from neighbors, forensic evidence, and any available CCTV footage. This evidence should help identify the perpetrator or perpetrators of the attack and definitively confirm the drug trafficking connection.
