Reporters Without Borders has published ten recommendations aimed at strengthening the protection of journalism focused on environmental and climate issues. The NGO calls on France and all states to translate these recommendations into concrete measures.

Environmental and climate journalists are facing increasing pressure in a growing variety of forms. This observation led Reporters Without Borders to formulate ten recommendations aimed at "strengthening the protection of reliable and independent journalism on environmental issues."

The international organization is not only addressing France: it is calling on all States, asking them to move from intentions to actions by adopting public policies adapted to the situation of these information professionals.

Environmental journalism occupies a unique place in the media landscape as climate issues gain prominence in public debate. But this increased visibility, according to Reporters Without Borders (RSF), comes with greater exposure to intimidation and attempts at destabilization.
