In Marseille, 22-year-old anti-drug activist Amine Kessaci has been elected to the city council. The young environmentalist was third on the list of incumbent mayor Benoît Payan, who was re-elected with 54,3% of the vote in the second round. This election marks the entry into local politics of a new figure committed to issues of security and the fight against trafficking.
