Fine weather prevails across France this Tuesday, much to the delight of holidaymakers. Sunshine dominates over much of the country, particularly from west to south, with plenty of sunshine throughout the day. Only a few clouds linger in the north and near mountainous areas, with no significant deterioration in the weather.
In the north and northeast, the sky remains partly cloudy at times, particularly between Hauts-de-France, Lorraine, and Alsace, where cloud cover is more frequent. Overall, however, it remains dry, with a very limited risk of rain across the country. Only a few isolated showers or thunderstorms are still possible in the mountains.
Temperatures show a marked contrast. The morning is cool across the northern half of the country, with some localized frost between the central and northeastern regions. In the afternoon, the mercury gradually rises, reaching 16 to 20°C in many areas, while the northeast remains slightly cooler. In the south, the mildness is much more pronounced, with temperatures up to 8 to 12°C above average.
This improvement is set to continue. A stable, dry and increasingly mild period is settling over the country, suggesting a largely sunny and spring-like week, even summery at times, particularly in the south.
