The weather will remain very mixed across France this Saturday, with cool and unsettled conditions in many regions. Cloud cover will often prevail from the central to the northeast, including the Paris Basin, where frequent showers are expected in the afternoon. Conversely, the Mediterranean regions will enjoy plenty of sunshine from morning to evening.
At daybreak, some light frosts are still possible in certain rural areas of the Massif Central in the northeast, as well as in the Perche and Beauce regions. Temperatures could drop to between 0 and 2°C in the most sheltered valleys, a particularly low level for mid-May.
Near the Mediterranean, the mistral and tramontane winds will blow strongly, with gusts reaching up to 80 km/h in the Var, Bouches-du-Rhône, and along the Côte d'Améthyste. Despite some sunny spells in the west and north, it will remain cool across most of the country, with temperatures often 2 to 5°C below the seasonal average, and up to 8°C below average in the southwest.
