On May 5, this repeat offender from La Seyne-sur-Mer was arrested in Les Sables-d'Olonne for a series of thefts: trinkets, food, a handbag stolen after breaking into a vehicle... The daily life of a man who travels across France with the same modus operandi. But this time, it was during his arrest that he crossed a red line. By targeting a policewoman with an explicit death threat:
"You and your children, I'm going to kill you." These remarks were so violent that they shocked even the prosecution. Prosecutor Éric Bret, stunned, admitted it frankly: "This has never been seen before in my career."
No anchor, no brake
Aggressive, unpredictable, and accustomed to excesses in detention, the man, when questioned about his adult disability allowance, curtly replied: "It's medical, I have nothing to say to you." In court, his lawyer argued for a simple judicial review, despite his lack of address. But for the prosecution, there was no longer any question of taking the slightest risk: "No representation, obvious risk of repetition." The court ruled in this sense: remand in custody at Nantes prison.
