She explained that fake messages had been circulating in her name for several days and announced that she had decided to take legal action.. "For the past few days, posts have been circulating online attributing statements to me that I never made. This constitutes, at the very least, damage to my reputation and identity theft. I have therefore decided to file a criminal complaint.", she said.
The singer also thanked those who alerted her to the existence of these publications. Her reaction aims to dispel any confusion about the origin of the statement and prevent the quote from continuing to be circulated as a genuine political stance. The message attributed to Zazie was particularly sensitive because it linked her name to a statement about the far right and Islamism.
