Paris: Three people injured in knife attack, one suspect arrested

A knife attack left three people injured late Monday morning in the Porte de Clichy area of ​​northern Paris. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. near the Porte de Clichy tram stop. According to initial reports, two victims were treated in critical condition, while a third, with less serious injuries, was taken to the hospital with stable injuries.

According to information released by authorities, an off-duty police officer spotted an individual armed with two knives attacking several passersby. The officer immediately alerted law enforcement and followed the suspect until his arrest, with the support of a police patrol.

The national anti-terrorism prosecutor's office is assessing the situation.

Videos circulating on social media show the suspect being restrained on the ground by several people before his arrest. According to several witnesses, he reportedly said, "Allah commanded me," a statement that is now among the evidence being examined by investigators.

The National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office (PNAT) has indicated that it is monitoring the progress of the proceedings and is observing the situation to determine whether the circumstances warrant its involvement.
