A poll conducted by IFOP-Fiducial for LCI, Sud Radio, and Le Figaro places the National Rally clearly in the lead in voting intentions should the legislative elections be held today. According to this opinion poll, the party led by Jordan Bardella would garner approximately 36% of the vote in the first round, a particularly high level for studies conducted some time after an election. Marine Le Pen is polling between 34% and 36%.
The survey was conducted among a sample of just over 1,300 registered voters. In this scenario, a left-wing alliance would come in second with approximately 24% of the vote, while the presidential bloc would obtain around 14%. The Republicans would be credited with 11% to 12%, with the other political parties sharing the remaining votes.
"Never seen this early before an election"
These results were commented on by Frédéric Dabi, Director General of Opinion at IFOP. According to him, the level measured for the National Rally constitutes a rare phenomenon at this stage of the political calendar.
He claims to have "never seen such a score so long before an election ." According to the head of the polling institute, this level demonstrates political momentum for the party, despite Marine Le Pen's trial.
The level measured for the National Rally is above that observed in polls carried out before the 2024 legislative elections.
The political party benefits from a solid electoral base in opinion polls, which helps to maintain a favorable balance of power in the scenarios tested by the institutes.
