Greg Guillotin scandal: Cyril Hanouna "stunned" by the comedian's confession of domestic violence

Cyril Hanouna has broken his silence on the Greg Guillotin affair. This Monday, the TV host reacted to the revelations concerning the YouTuber, who is the subject of a complaint filed by his former partner for domestic violence and harassment, and who has since admitted to having subjected her to physical and psychological abuse.

"I was stunned this weekend by what came out about him, especially since he confirmed that this information was true ," said Cyril Hanouna.

"We are truly shocked by the situation."

Cyril Hanouna has known Greg Guillotin for several years. The videographer notably appeared on Touche pas à mon poste!, while his hidden camera pranks were produced by H2O Productions. The host revealed that contact has been established with Greg Guillotin since the scandal broke : "Our teams, as well as our CEO Lionel Stan, have spoken to him on the phone, and we will tell you all about this. Of course, our thoughts are with his partners who have suffered. We are truly shocked by the situation." Cyril Hanouna added: "We knew him very well, but as they say, you never really know people's true private lives."

Greg Guillotin admitted to being violent

This reaction follows Greg Guillotin's public statement. The YouTuber publicly admitted to having subjected his former partner to physical and psychological abuse : "My former partner has filed a complaint against me for physical and psychological abuse. She suffered it. I will neither deny it nor try to justify it. I am ashamed ," he wrote.

Greg Guillotin also admitted to being violent "on several occasions" with his partner. He publicly apologized and announced that he would answer to the law regarding the other allegations in the complaint.

The full statement from the videographer and his admissions can be found in our article dedicated to the apologies and violence acknowledged by Greg Guillotin.

A complaint was filed on June 17 in Évry

Greg Guillotin's former partner, now 27 years old, filed a complaint on June 17 with the public prosecutor at the Évry judicial court. She accuses the videographer of repeated physical and psychological violence during their relationship.

She alleges, in particular, beatings, insults, humiliation, and denigration, as well as a surveillance system in the couple's home. She reports several specific incidents of physical violence, which will be examined as part of the legal proceedings.

Behind Greg Guillotin's apologies, the intervention of a crisis communication specialist

But since the videographer's confession, another question has arisen in the case: who actually prepared his mea culpa?

As we revealed in our investigation into the behind-the-scenes details of Greg Guillotin's apology and the intervention of a crisis communications firm , Jean-François Guyot, a journalist with AFP, specified that Greg Guillotin's statement had been "passed on to him by his communications advisor, @floriansilnicki ." Florian Silnicki then relayed this message himself.

Florian Silnicki is the founder of LaFrenchCom, a firm specializing in sensitive communication and crisis management, particularly when the reputation of a public figure or leader is threatened.

The question then arises: did Florian Silnicki simply transmit to the media a text entirely written by Greg Guillotin, or did he participate in its preparation, formulation, or even its drafting?

A career now in question

The case now extends beyond the legal sphere. Greg Guillotin is also a prominent figure in television and online media. "The Worst Intern ," which aired for many years on C8, moved to W9 in April 2026. The program is produced by H2O Productions, Cyril Hanouna's company.

The admissions of violence therefore place the continuation of his television career directly at the center of questions.

The Stéphane Plaza case is still fresh in everyone's minds. In February 2025, following his conviction for domestic violence, M6 pulled all programs featuring the presenter from its schedule. However, the legal situations are not comparable: Stéphane Plaza was convicted by a court, while Greg Guillotin has not yet been convicted.
