Former Swedish model Ebba Karlsson is suing the French state over alleged delays in the French investigation into the Epstein case. She specifically accuses the justice system of failing to interview Daniel Siad before his death on July 20 at his home in Colombes.
Ebba Karlsson filed a complaint against him in Paris in February 2026 for rape and human trafficking. Presented as an alleged recruiter for Jeffrey Epstein, Daniel Siad denied the accusations. His death led to the dismissal of the case against him and deprived the plaintiff of a legal confrontation.
The investigation opened in February continues
Ebba Karlsson claims that Daniel Siad brought her from Sweden to Monaco, then to France, promising her a modeling career. She accuses him of raping her in a house in Cannes before taking her to Gérald Marie, former head of the Elite agency, whom she also accuses of rape. Marie denies the accusations against him. The former model is demanding that Gérald Marie be questioned promptly. She alleges that Paris served as a hub for the sex trafficking attributed to Jeffrey Epstein, notably through Jean-Luc Brunel and Gérald Marie.
The Innocence in Danger association, which supports several plaintiffs, has also sued the state to denounce the delays in processing the case. This legal action aims to obtain recognition of a potential malfunction within the public justice system. The Paris prosecutor's office maintains that the investigation opened on February 18 for human trafficking by an organized group and criminal conspiracy is ongoing. Before his death, Daniel Siad was the subject of investigative measures, including wiretaps. According to the prosecutor's office, the evidence gathered at that time did not justify his immediate arrest.
