An unusual visit has caused embarrassment for the National Police in the Haut-Rhin region. The divisional commander in charge of the Saint-Louis/Huningue police station is the subject of an administrative investigation after welcoming a German pornographic actress, known by her stage name Lara CumKitten, to his premises. The incident dates back to June 26. Several photographs taken during this visit were subsequently published on Instagram. They show the actress in the police station, wearing a polo shirt with the inscription "National Police," driving a police vehicle, and with equipment used by law enforcement. But it is primarily the photos showing the young woman with weapons that have sparked controversy. In one, she appears with a less-lethal launcher. In another, she is holding an HK UMP9 submachine gun, strapped across her chest.

Another photograph shows Lara CumKitten alongside Divisional Commander Éric Dietemann, head of the police station. The picture was taken in his office, beneath the official portrait of President Emmanuel Macron . The officer appears with his arm around the actress's shoulders; she is wearing a navy blue polo shirt emblazoned with "Police Nationale" (National Police). When posting the photograph on Instagram, he wrote: "Who said you don't meet interesting people in the police force...?" The post has since been deleted, and the commander's Instagram account has been made private.
The actress described it as a "very interesting internship".
Lara CumKitten also published several photographs of her visit to Saint-Louis. In a message accompanying the photos, she explained that she had had the opportunity to complete what she described as a "very interesting internship" with the National Police and thanked the commander for his welcome. The images show her, in particular, sitting behind the wheel of a marked National Police vehicle and wearing uniform items used by officers. Other photos show her with the LBD (less-lethal defense weapon) and then with the HK UMP9. The question of how someone outside the National Police was able to access this equipment is now central to the case.
An administrative inquiry has been opened
In response to the publication of these photographs, an administrative inquiry has been launched. It aims to determine the precise circumstances of the visit and establish whether any breaches of professional and ethical rules occurred. The investigation must, in particular, ascertain the conditions under which Lara CumKitten was authorized to enter the premises, use a service vehicle, wear items associated with the uniform, and access weapons and intervention equipment. Access to this type of equipment is strictly regulated, which makes the presence of an individual from outside the service carrying a flash-ball launcher and a submachine gun particularly concerning.
The head of the police station directly concerned
Éric Dietemann, head of the Saint-Louis/Huningue police station, is directly implicated in the administrative inquiry. The investigation will seek to establish his exact role in organizing the visit and determine whether the rules of security, discretion, exemplary conduct, and professional ethics were respected. It will also seek to determine the circumstances under which the photographs were taken and subsequently disseminated publicly on social media. At this stage, no disciplinary action has been announced.
Photos that have since been deleted
The posts that sparked the controversy have been removed from social media, but the photographs had already circulated widely. The case now presents the police hierarchy with several questions: the conditions under which an outsider could access a police station, the use of a service vehicle, the wearing of items associated with the National Police, and, above all, access to regulation firearms. The administrative inquiry will now have to establish precisely what was authorized during this visit on June 26 and determine any potential responsibilities.
