Mild weather will continue across much of the country on Monday, particularly in the north and east. The atmosphere will remain generally pleasant, but will become increasingly unsettled throughout the day, with a few showers possible. In the south, conditions will remain more unsettled, especially near the Mediterranean coast.
At daybreak, fog and low clouds are common in the west and north of the country. A few light showers are also expected between the Normandy coast, Brittany, and the Vendée coastline. These mists will gradually dissipate during the morning, giving way to more variable skies. In the southeast, however, rain is already widespread between Languedoc and Provence. Morning temperatures will generally range between 5 and 10°C.
In the afternoon, large cumulus clouds will develop over a large part of the country and may bring a few showers, sometimes accompanied by a slight risk of thunderstorms, particularly over the Vosges and Jura mountains. Between Hauts-de-France and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the sky will become partly cloudy. Around the Mediterranean, rain will persist and may be heavy over the Cévennes mountains, with occasional thunderstorms in Provence, and snow expected in the Southern Alps above 1600 meters.
In the evening, the unsettled weather will ease across most regions. Conditions will become calmer and drier across much of the country, while rain will continue to affect the Mediterranean regions, particularly between the Cévennes mountains and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Temperatures will remain mild for this time of year, often between 15 and 18°C in the afternoon.
