Bad weather returns to the Mediterranean regions this Sunday, with persistent and sometimes thundery rain from Occitanie to Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and as far south as Corsica. Winds will gust around 70 km/h. In the mountains, heavy snow is falling in the Pyrenees, the Cévennes, and the southern Alps above 1,200 meters. Further north, conditions are much calmer but often hazy at dawn.

From the north to the east of the country, fog is widespread in the morning, particularly in valleys and wetlands. Near the English Channel, a few showers are moving through under grey skies. Temperatures at sunrise range from 0 to 2°C in the northeast, rising to 8 to 10°C near the Mediterranean.

The afternoon will remain unsettled in the southeast with persistent rain and snow at higher elevations in the affected mountains. Elsewhere, the weather will remain calm under a hazy sky, with some lingering fog from the Saône Valley to the Dombes region. Highs will reach 7 to 9°C in Alsace and 10 to 13°C across the rest of the country.

In the evening, conditions will slowly improve in Occitanie, while rain will persist between Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and Corsica. Along the English Channel and in Brittany, a few showers will remain in temperatures that will remain mild for this time of year.
