Who is Jérémy Beaud, the highly strategic new advisor to Minister Vincent Jeanbrun?

Originally from the Doubs region, Jérémy Beaud continues his rise within the upper echelons of the civil service. At just 27 years old, he has been appointed advisor in charge of economic development, employment, integration, and republican initiatives in the office of Vincent Jeanbrun.

This appointment recognizes a career path built outside the traditional routes associated with the highest positions in the State. A graduate with a Master's degree in Public Administration – Law of Administrative Action from the University of Franche-Comté, and then with a Master's degree in Advocacy Law and Public Affairs from Paris-Dauphine University, Jérémy Beaud has accumulated a wide range of experience within public institutions.

After an internship at the Council of State, he worked several times for elected officials of the Republicans party, notably alongside Senator Jacques Grosperrin and Christine Bouquin, President of the Doubs Departmental Council. In August 2023, he joined Engie's public affairs department as a project manager.

In the fall of 2024, he joined the staff of Catherine Vautrin, then Minister for Territorial Partnerships and Decentralization. His arrival coincided with a period of significant political instability, marked by the fall of Michel Barnier's government following a vote of no confidence, and then by successive government reshuffles. He nevertheless continued his work with Catherine Vautrin before joining Vincent Jeanbrun's team, first as a special advisor, then as a consultant.

The new advisor boasts an academic background rooted in the region and believes that the quality of education he received in Besançon enabled him to compete with graduates from the most prestigious institutions. His career path illustrates the growing diversity of profiles now reaching ministerial positions.

In his new role, Jérémy Beaud is responsible for files relating to economic development, employment, integration and republican actions within the Ministry of Urban Affairs and Housing.
