Chinese company Guizhou Tyre announces a $300 million factory in Morocco

Chinese manufacturer Guizhou Tyre has launched preparations for a major industrial project in Morocco, with the construction of a tire factory representing an investment of nearly $300 million. Financed through its own funds and internal resources, the site is expected to begin production within an estimated two years, once the design and installation phases are complete.

The company anticipates a rapid ramp-up of this future unit. Once fully operational, the group expects average annual revenue of approximately $182 million, with net income of around $40 million, according to projections shared with the markets.

A lever for international expansion

This project is part of a long-term industrial strategy aimed at expanding Guizhou Tyre's product range and strengthening its presence outside of China. The choice of Morocco reflects objectives of competitiveness, proximity to European and African markets, and the desire to optimize logistics times in a highly competitive sector.

Specializing in radial tires for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, the group, known internationally under the Advance Tyre brand, intends to leverage advanced manufacturing processes to consolidate its position in the global market. This new facility should also support the sector's shift towards more automated and higher value-added industrial technologies.
