The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has opened disciplinary proceedings against Bruno Foucher, the French ambassador to the Central African Republic. This decision follows alleged incidents that took place in the private apartments of the diplomatic residence in Bangui.

A sensitive matter for the Quai d'Orsay

The ambassador allegedly brought around thirty young women to his private quarters. The precise circumstances of these visits remain to be clarified as part of the ongoing administrative investigation. The French Foreign Ministry has not released any further information on the progress of the proceedings.

Bruno Foucher holds this diplomatic post in the Central African Republic, a country where France maintains a significant presence despite regional tensions. The affair comes at a delicate time for French diplomacy on the African continent.
