This Sunday evening, Entrevue will be providing live coverage of the municipal elections. Throughout the evening, we will be publishing the results as they come in from cities across France.
Minutes after the first results of the first round were published, National Rally (RN) leader Jordan Bardella welcomed the increased voter turnout, stating that "the French people have risen to the occasion." The MEP also expressed his satisfaction with the re-election of several incumbent RN mayors in the first round and called on elected officials to "take responsibility" in the second round. "Wherever the local context allows, the RN will extend a hand to genuine right-wing lists and to all those who reject the chaos of the far left and the dilution of the party by Macronism," declared the party leader, urging voters to prevent "a victory for the far left" in the second round.
