As the season draws to a close, Quotidien is losing two of its most recognizable female personalities. Ambre Chalumeau and Maïa Mazaurette will not be returning to the talk show hosted by Yann Barthès on TMC this September. The news was revealed by The Parisian.
Both had been part of the show since 2020. Their departure marks a significant change for the daily program on the TF1 group channel, where they each held a position established for several seasons.
Ambre Chalumeau turns the page after six years
Ambre Chalumeau, in charge of cultural news in DailyShe chose to leave the show. The journalist describes an amicable departure with Yann Barthès and Laurent Bon, the program's producers. She states that the production team wanted her to continue her segment, but that she preferred to end this collaboration to explore other projects. “Writing this daily column for six years was a thrilling adventure. I chose to leave Quotidien. The producers were happy with my work and would have liked me to continue.”she explains, referring to "The curiosity to do something different."
"I am not being lured away by anyone."
Ambre Chalumeau insists on the personal nature of her decision. She dismisses the possibility of leaving in response to an outside offer. "I wasn't poached by anyone. It's a very personal choice, and the production team has been extremely understanding of it."she explains. Her departure puts an end to a regular presence on the show, where she had established herself as one of the faces of the cultural segment.
Maïa Mazaurette also leaves the set
Maïa Mazaurette will also not be returning next season. DailyShe spoke on topics related to sexuality, using a clear and direct approach. Over her six seasons on the show, she also presented several documentaries broadcast in prime time on TMC, such as Ambre Chalumeau.
