Laurent Ruquier will not continue his cultural talk show on T18 this fall. Having joined the channel at its launch, the host will have only lasted one season at the helm. At Ruquie'sr, broadcast on Saturday evenings. The show will not return in its current format with him in September.
T18 loses its headliner
His arrival had been one of T18's biggest media coups. Laurent Ruquier had been involved in the channel's launch on digital terrestrial television with a weekly cultural program, built around guests, discussions, and arts news. The channel is now working to find a successor to keep this time slot.
Game over for Mask Singer
Laurent Ruquier's withdrawal doesn't only concern T18. He is not expected to return to the jury of Mask Singer next season on TF1. He was one of the investigators on the show alongside Kev Adams, Chantal Ladesou and Michaël Youn during the 2026 season.
Absolute priority to the theatre
Laurent Ruquier wants to dedicate more time to theatre, a field in which he is already involved as a writer, producer, and director. In April 2026, he took over the Comédie des Champs-Élysées and the Studio des Champs-Élysées, two Parisian theatres located on Avenue Montaigne.
It should also be noted that the presenter retains his activities on the radio, on RTL.
