A kindergarten teacher has been charged with sexually assaulting four children in Dinard.

A teacher at a nursery school in Dinard, Ille-et-Vilaine, has been charged with sexually assaulting four children aged 4, the Saint-Malo public prosecutor announced on Friday. The alleged offenses were reported to the authorities following several complaints filed in November 2025 by parents of children enrolled at the school.

Following these reports, a preliminary investigation was opened to verify the accusations against the teacher. At the same time, the academic director of the national education services decided to suspend the teacher as a precautionary measure pending the conclusions of the judicial investigation.

A period of police custody followed by formal charges

Placed in police custody on Wednesday, the suspect denied all the charges against him. However, the investigations conducted by the detectives led the public prosecutor's office to refer the case to an investigating judge in order to pursue the investigation within a more thorough judicial framework.

Following his appearance before the investigating magistrate, the teacher was formally charged with sexual assault against four minors and placed under judicial supervision. The investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances of the alleged offenses and to establish any potential criminal liability.
