Suspicions of sexual assault on a child: after-school worker dismissed in Yvelines

An activity leader working at a leisure center in Guyancourt has been suspended as a precautionary measure following a complaint alleging rape of a 3-year-old child, the Versailles prosecutor's office confirmed, which has opened a judicial investigation.

According to initial reports, the victim's family alerted the authorities after the girl mentioned experiencing intimate pain and identified an adult who might be able to intervene at the childcare facility. The incident reportedly occurred in mid-April and is now under investigation by the relevant authorities.

Emergency measures and a climate of tension

Upon learning of the situation, the municipality immediately decided to remove the employee in question and launch an internal administrative procedure, in parallel with the criminal investigation. A psychological support unit was also established to assist the victim and their family in this particularly sensitive context.

This case comes amid several recent reports concerning the after-school sector, particularly in the Paris region. In Paris, dozens of staff members have been suspended since the beginning of the year for similar alleged incidents, fueling concerns about child protection in these facilities.
